The wire, and its limits
Country data comes browser-direct from the open-source Nager.Date database (date.nager.at) — keyless and CORS-open, verified before this page was built. It covers roughly 110 countries, public holidays only, a few years each way — a database, not a promise: laws change and regional observance is messy, so check officially before booking anything on it. Local names are shown first because that is what the day is actually called.
The computus is this page’s own
Western Easter uses the Anonymous Gregorian algorithm — the exact integer arithmetic, valid 1583–4099, shown step by step with what each quantity means (the epact is the moon’s age; the rest finds the next Sunday). The Orthodox date runs the older Julian computus and shifts it onto the modern calendar by the century drift. The dependent feasts are fixed offsets from Easter and are labelled with them.
